Texas A&M has always been the little brother of Texas college football, but they are expecting big things from Jimbo Fisher as he takes over the program.
During a luncheon yesterday, a Texas A&M chancellor made the bold move of awarding Fisher with a national title plaque with a blank date for the national title they expect him to win.
This is pretty painful to watch due to the massive cheese factor. Maybe they should have done what they do at Alabama, and have the trophy presentation AFTER winning the title. This pretty much sums up Texas’ delusional love affair with football and an apparent lack of self-awareness regarding the program’s history over the last 30 years. You can’t accuse them of not caring.
