Steve Spurrier is no longer coaching college football, but he hasn’t lost his next level ability to troll opposing fan bases.
Yesterday, during a speech at the Independence Bowl kickoff luncheon. Spurrier was explaining that having great players doesn’t always equal championships. He stuck the knife in by citing his former SEC rival LSU as a prime example.
“You can have good ball players and still not win football games, all you LSU fans know about that.”
To be fair, LSU does have two national titles since 2000, which is more than Spurrier ever won. That minor detail isn’t enough to stop the Old Ball Coach from firing shots.
