Andy Dalton is more of a game manager than a franchise quarterback, but this is getting ridiculous. With Cincinnati trailing Pittsburgh 29-14 with 3 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, yesterday, the Bengals went for it to try to get back in the game.
That’s when Dalton decided to live to fight another day by throwing the ball out of bounds, instead of at least throwing it up to give his guys a chance to make a play.
Even if they managed to convert, the Bengals still would have lost, but this level of surrender is indefensible.
