Mr. Met, the famous New York Mets mascot who looks like the physical manifestation of a bad acid trip, is in trouble for giving some fans the bird while passing them on his way down the concourse at last night’s game against the Brewers at Citi Field.
He may be a mascot, but he’s still a New Yorker.

The Mets issued an apology for Mr. Met’s profane gesture after it gained attention on social media. It sounds like whoever was in the costume can fuggedabout coming back:

UPDATE: According to the Associated Press, the employee who wore the Mr. Met costume has been fired.
