Lonzo Ball had 36 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals in the Lakers 103-102 overtime win against the Sixers in the Summer League last night. It was Ball’s best game of his young pro career, and he did it wearing a pair of Nike Kobe AD’s instead of his signature Zo2 Big Baller Brand shoe.
Ball shot 12/22 from the floor, which was a huge improvement over his horrendous 2/15 debut shooting performance. He scored 28 of his 36 in the second half.
Overall, Ball looked more comfortable on the floor and provided a glimpse into why Magic Johnson and Lakers fans have hope for the first time since Kobe Bryant signed his final contract with the team.

The fact that ball ditched his signature Big Baller Zo2 in favor of a pair of Nikes didn’t go unnoticed by the internet, or by LeBron James, who was seated courtside and posted a video to Instagram ribbing Ball for the switch. The caption of the video read “Just. Do. It.”
