Yesterday, news broke that LaVar Ball had pulled middle son LiAngelo from UCLA because he felt the indefinite suspension Gelo received as punishment for his shoplifting arrest in China was too harsh.
On Today, LiAngelo spoke for the first time about the incident, arrest, and jail time in China, and also threw his former teammates under the bus, saying that they stole items from the stores first, and he was only following their lead. What a team guy:
“We all went out one night, went to the malls, went to the Louis Vuitton store and, uh, people started taking stuff, and then, you know, me just not thinking and being with them, I took something too,”
Not surprisingly, he describes the conditions of the Chinese jail as less than 4-star, but that’s not exactly a shocker.
