Penn State dropped another heart-breaker this afternoon, losing 27-24, on last second field goal just a week after dropping a thriller in Columbus, but even in defeat, head coach James Franklin showed championship class.
When Franklin spotted some of his dejected Nittany Lions players heading straight for the locker room before they shook hands with the Michigan State players, he launched into a dead sprint and turned them around after offering some “words of encouragement.”
They say character is revealed by how people handle defeat. Franklin passed this test with flying colors.
