Japanese league closer Yasuaki Yamazaki doesn’t walk from the bullpen like some chump when he gets the call from his manager to get the final outs of a big win.
The Yokohama DeNa Baystars closer rides in on a sports car like the Japanese League Kenny Powers before giving the hometown fans what they came to see. If this was Major League Baseball, he would probably get charged before his first warm up pitch for this little stunt. They just don’t appreciate good showmanship.
Nothing says confidence like taking a victory lap before securing the win. The crowd reaction is some Rick Vaughn level stuff from Major League.
