Bad beats aren’t only confined to meaningless 4th quarter touchdowns in football games, ask the guy who just lost out on a $571,744 pay day when a jockey fell off his horse, just feet from the finish line during the 10th race on Thursday at the Gulfstream Isles racetrack, in Florida.
The bettor, whose identity is still unknown, had picked 5 consecutive race winners, and only needed Cryogenic to win the 10th to complete the multiplier bet called the Rainbow Six, and snag the over 500k payout.
Cryogenic held a commanding lead down the home stretch, when the jockey was jostled off his saddle and fell from the horse, losing the race, and the cash for our bad beat sufferer. The jockey was taken to the hospital. No word on the guy who lost all the money.
Put yourself in the unlucky gambler’s shows when you watch this, you can almost feel the excruciating disappointment.
