Anyone that has coached youth sports knows that it can, at times, be frustrating. Coaching at the lowest level youth basketball comes with its own set of challenges.
It’s hard enough to get 6 and 7 year-olds to listen. They also have trouble remembering which hoop to shoot on.
In a video recently posted online, one youth coach was so exasperated that instead of watching his player shoot on the wrong basket, he snapped and lept into action.
As the young kid prepared to score two points for the other team, the coach sprung from the sidelines, onto the court, and Mutombo’d the shot into next week.
You’ve always gotta watch out for a guy that shows up to coach 5 year-olds in a tie like he’s Jay Wright. No ones getting any scholarships here today pal. You’re at a 10, I need you at a 4. Thanks.
