Today, a visibly emotional Eli Manning addressed the media outside the Giants’ training facility regarding accusations that he defrauded a memorabilia collector by selling non-game-used helmets as game-worn.
Following the release of old emails from Manning discussing the transaction, the story quickly snowballed into viral front page news and a PR nightmare for the Giants’ quarterback.
The usually even-keel Manning emphatically denied any wrongdoing, and was visibly upset that his integrity has been called into question.
