Drexel went from getting run out of the gym to setting a Division I record with a 34-point comeback win on Thursday night against Delaware.
After trailing 53-19 in the first half, the Dragons opened the second half on an 18-4 run, but still trailed by as many as 15 with 12 minutes left. They added another 17-4 run before tying things up at 79.
With the game tied at 83, Tremaine Isabell was fouled shooting a three and hit two of three free throws to complete the comeback and steal the 85-83 win. Isabell finished with 29.
The previous DI comeback record was a 32-point Duke comeback against Tulane in 1950.
