The best spring training stories don’t usually involve the actual games and the final score. It’s a unique environment that allows fans to get a closer look at their favorite players, and kids see their idols up close. Those are the best stories.
One lucky kid experienced some spring training magic he’ll never forget when Diamondbacks players Oscar Hernandez and Brandon Drury spotted him in the outfield lawn seats during pre-game BP.
They didn’t just throw the kid a ball, they started playing toss with him. The little dude represented. He had a nice arm and caught everything thrown his way. Best day ever, never forget it.
