Steph Curry may run the NBA, but Dell Curry wasn’t too bad during his NBA career either. In an era when teams shot far fewer three, Dell was a sniper for the Hornets and Bucks. Before last night’s Warriors game against the Hornets, the old man showed he’s still got the stroke from deep.
During the pregame shootaround, Dell, a Hornets color commentator, was chatting someone up on the sidelines close to half court, dressed in a suit and tie, when Steph threw him a bounce pass and challenged him to show he’s still go the touch from distance.
Not so fast.
Dell caught the ball, then stepped up and banked in a 40-footer, in a suit and tie. He must kill people at the Y. Even when you’re the league MVP, your dad can still teach you a lesson.
Not to be out done, Steph rang up 11 triples on the night, and sat for the fourth quarter of 126-11 Golden State win. So he’s not bad either.
