The United States executed airstrikes on Syrian targets following the horrific gas attacks committed by that country’s dictator, Bashir Al Assad. We are on a war footing, and these are scary times. Of that there is little question.
Retired Major General John Marks has a surely served our country with honor, and that deserves respect. He’s also a CNN analyst and just made an idiotic sports analogy to describe the U.S. military strategy following the first wave of bombings in Syria.
Regarding whether he expected more military intervention, Marks said, “This is not a Kentucky basketball one and done.”
On the day where our country sits on the edge of entering another war, it’s probably not the best time to make a topical NCAA tournament reference in your position as a military analyst. Just a thought.
