There are TV camera everywhere in L.A., but the last place Clippers rookie Sindarius Thornwell probably expected to see them was back home in sleepy South Carolina. But when the former Gamecocks star was pulled over by local police who were participating in an episode of A&E’s Live PD, that’s exactly what happened.
Thornwell didn’t do anything wrong, but stopped voluntarily after his girlfriend was pulled over for trailing his car too closely, in what sounds like some relationship drama. The officer, with camera crew in tow, asked him a couple of questions to ensure he wasn’t in any danger.
The officer swore he recognized him from somewhere, but Thornwell didn’t offer up any info as to his identity. The cop walked away telling the camera he was sure he had seen him before. Maybe he watched the Final Four.
The odds of this happening are astronomical, and the exchange is pretty funny. So random.
