Nationals slugger Bryce Harper connected with a bomb in this afternoon’s game against the Giants, and it had nothing to do with a home run.
Harper wasn’t in the mood to take first base after getting beaned by San Francisco’s Hunter Strickland during the eighth inning of today’s game, instead he charged the mound and tagged Strickland with a legit haymaker before being consumed by waves of players from both teams pouring onto the field. Strickland got in a couple of shots in his own right.
This might be the best baseball fight since Nolan Ryan throttled Robin Ventura. No participation trophies here.
