41-year old Brad Stevens is the NBA coaching wunderkind, and has his starless Celtics with a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals, and LeBron James on the ropes. But before Stevens went into coaching he played college ball at DIII DePauw University in Indiana, and before that was the all-time leading scorer at Zionsville Community High School outside of Indianapolis (a record broken this year by Purdue commit Isaiah Thompson ).
A clip posted by the Boston Globe in 2013 proves Stevens could ball. In a crucial 1995 sectional playoff game against the Lebanon Tigers, the baby faced assassin goes off for 24, including 4 threes. Stevens also sent one shot into the fifth row with a LeBron-esque fastbreak chasedown block.
Brad Stevens was a dude.
