Alabama was forced to play with only 3 men on the floor for the final 10 minutes against Minnestoa on Saturday, thanks to their entire bench getting ejected in a fight, a player fouling out, and another rolling an ankle.
Even though the Tide trailed by 13 when they went down to 3 players, and by 15 with just over 6 minutes left, freshman NBA prospect Collin Sexton scored 19 of his career-high 40 points while shorthanded, and even gave the Tide a chance to tie the game at 83 with a minute to go.
Alabama lost the game, 89-84, but incredibly outscored Minnesota 30-22 with 3 players.
Sexton’s performance in the loss is as gutty as a performance as you’re gonna see this year at any level. Here he is lighting up Minnesota while playing 3 on 5. The final six minutes are out of control.
