Drew Stanton ended up in the middle of the action against the Rams when Carson Palmer went down with a broken arm. He’ll also be the starter for the foreseeable future with Palmer possibly done for the year. Stanton was only 5/14 for 62 yards and a pick in the 33-0 blowout loss.
Maybe Stanton just didn’t have it, but it’s hard to say he was totally dialed-in because he warmed up for the game in a Supergirl costume, and even did some cartwheels on the field. Aw, that’s cute and silly.
Look, the Cardinals have been doing this costume thing for years since Carson Palmer showed up, and it was cool when they were winning the division and one of the top teams in the league. Arizona is 3-4 on the year, and the whole silly costume thing looks immature and dumb on game day. It’s not the reason they lost, but the small details matter.
What winning organization does this? I’ll save you the Google search. None.
