Bill Belichick doesn’t like talking to the press after a win, but asking him questions after a brutal loss is somehow even worse.
Following the Patriots unexpected 27-20 loss in Miami last night, Belichick took the podium for his postgame presser and stared down the press pool, daring them to ask questions.
One reporter got up the nerve to ask a more annoyed than usual Belichick about a bizarre, failed, 4th quarter onside kick attempt. Coach answered the question by providing his detailed, insightful take on the play, while barely articulating words with his mouthpiece:
“They recovered it.”
Belichick then pulled his patented power play stare down to crush the follow up. Asking the coach questions is always like pulling teeth, but this is like dental surgery without anesthesia.
Watch Bill crank up the awkwardness level to 1000.
