After an offseason of trade and retirement rumors, it’s unclear if Rob Gronkowski will ever make it back to another Super Bowl, but a horse named ‘Gronkowski’ is headed to the 2018 Kentucky Derby after winning a qualifying race in England.
Gronk the horse spiked the field at the Burradon Stakes, which makes him eligible for a start at the first leg of the Triple Crown at Churchill Downs. He’s going to be an extreme longshot, but that doesn’t make it any less awesome. Hopefully he doesn’t get into the Mint Julips before post time.
Watch Gronk the horse qualify to run for the roses.
