The Browns have high expectations for #1 overall draft pick Myles Garrett, but for a franchise that has drafted Courtney Brown, Gerard Warren and Barkevious Mingo, seeing is believing.
It’s just camp, but Garrett has consistently flashed, had 4 minimal contact “sacks” in yesterday’s intrasquad scrimmage, and has earned praise from bedrock offensive lineman Joe Thomas, with whom he’s been battling.
Here’s Garrett from earlier this week with the blow-by on Thomas, who only gave up four sacks last season. It’s just one play, but it’s a damn impressive one.
It’s hard to say how good Garrett will be, but he doesn’t look like Courtney Brown:

Here’s Garrett getting non-contact “sacks” during the team scrimmage. The bottom line is he’s getting to the quarterback.
