The latest incarnation of Team USA Basketball made it’s debut ahead of the Rio Olympics in Las Vegas last night, dismantling Argentina 111 – 72.
It was also a debut for 3/4 of the new Golden State Warriors, as Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson took the court together for the first time. Durant led all scorers with 23 points in the blowout.
In a glimpse of the nightmare to come for the NBA, Durant found Green for a wide open three.

Argentina, and it’s aging core of stars that won the 2004 Olympic Gold Medal were completely over matched by the loaded Yanks. It was clear that the once formidable Argentines are now past their prime.
Even though it was their first tune up, Team USA looked impressive. They will face China on Sunday in their next pre-Olympic tilt.
