The Celtics and Cavs pulled off the blockbuster trade of the Summer by swapping Kyrie Irving for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and the Nets 2018 first round pick.
Colin doesn’t think the Cavs are done dealing and will attempt to package some of the trade assets to acquire another star, in a final push to keep LeBron in Cleveland.
Nick Wright joined the show yesterday and laid out the details of a trade that could land Boogie Cousins with Cleveland, along with D-Wade, who seems destined to end up in Cleveland after a Bulls contract buyout. Nick proposed shipping Channing Frye, Iman Shumpert and the Nets pick to New Orleans for Cousins, who will likely leave New Orleans in free agency at the end of the season.
If they could pull it off, the Cleveland rotation would consist of: LeBron, Cousins, Isaiah Thomas, D-Wade, Kevin Love, Derrick Rose, Crowder, Tristan Thompson, J.R. Smith and Kyle Korver.
Would this be enough to compete with the Warriors next year if Cleveland could pull it off? Would it be enough to convince LeBron to stick around? Or, is this tin-foil hat, mayonnaise on the windows, crazy talk?
