The LeBron James has beef with Steph Curry and the Warriors. It’s not a manufactured dislike, it’s real, and it’s amazing. In a sports era where the public whines about athletes being to buddy buddy, the two best basketball players on the planet genuinely don’t like each other.
Curry and his teammates publicly trash talked LeBron when they were leading the series 3- 1. They essentially said he was too sensitive and soft, and needed to step aside because it was their turn. Ayesha Curry even piled on LeBron with tweets calling him out. In retrospect, that was a bad call. The Warriors didn’t just poke the bear, they turned LeBron into a human rage inferno.
Colin says the public and media’s open arms acceptance of Curry as the league’s best player over LeBron is like a brilliant magician on a talent show that gets upstaged by an adorable child star.
“They’ll find a 42 year old magician. a virgin until he’s 40. He’s get’s on stage and turns a bowling ball into a dove. He nails it. Then a 6 year old gets on stage and farts and the judges go gaga. Hell yeah he’s pissed. ”
Since the Cavs lost Game 4, LeBron has taken personal delight in pushing Curry around and establishing his complete dominance over the Warriors. In Games 5 and 6, LeBron became a Marvel superhero, putting up a mythological 82 points, 24 rebounds, and 19 assists.
After a vicious block on Curry last night, LeBron gave Curry a death stare that was reminiscent of when Superman melting steel beams. LeBron has singlehandedly dominated the Warriors and the series, leaving no doubt about who’s the “Unanimous MVP” of the Finals.
The once seemingly invincible Warriors are set back on their heels like a wobbly Mike Tyson. They’ll play Game 7 at home, but other than home court advantage, the Warriors are limping into the deciding game like a heavyweight champ starting the 12th round with his eyes swollen shut.
Center Andrew Bogut is out, and the Warriors can’t stop LeBron from getting to the rim. Andre Iguodala, the Warriors “LeBron stopper”, has a nagging back injury. Draymond Green is playing tentatively coming off a suspension for his Playoffs long campaign against groins. Harrison Barnes has been invisible. Steph Curry has been outed as a complete defensive liability.
Game 7 is on Sunday, and it is going to be the Super Bowl.
