It’s no secret that Nick Young is probably Colin’s least favorite NBA player. He’s been “joke around guy” for his entire career, and his antics have never contributed to anything resembling winning.
But, it’s time to take notice that something magical may be happening in Los Angeles under new head coach Luke Walton, when Swaggy P is contributing to wins and drilling game winners. Confidence is a hell of a drug.
Last night, with just under 10 seconds left, and the Lakers trailing 109-108, Young intercepted a pass intended for Lou Williams and coolly drained the game-winning three for a 111-109 win. Young had 17 points on the night, and was 4 of 7 from deep.
The Lakers are a competitive 8-7, and Nick Young is making winning plays.
In 2016, anything is possible.
