Last night, Steph Curry spontaneously combusted in Golden State’s 116-106 win over New Orleans. He set the NBA single game 3-point record by draining 13 from long distance, and finished with 46 points on the night. Curry and Kobe Bryant held the previous record of 12.
The win helped the Warriors get rid of the awful taste of their embarrassing 20-point, Friday night loss to the lowly Lakers, where Curry failed to hit at least one 3-pointer for the first time in 157 games.
The offensive outburst was Curry’s first of the year that can truly be described as reminiscent of his dominant regular season MVP form from last season.
Regardless of how many superstars populate the Golden State roster, “let Steph shoot” is still the best option on many nights. It was last night. No need to overthink it.
