Yesterday, trailing 21-14 against the Ravens with less than a minute left in the fourth quarter, the Pittsburgh Steelers needed a perfectly executed onside kick to have a chance for another possession to tie the game.
Instead, they got an onside kick from the Dude Perfect blooper reel. Pittsburgh kicker Chris Boswell tried to get tricky with a misdirection rabona, and it was just a mess. A “bang” flag gun moment in onside kick history.

If you, like many, were wondering why the hell the Steelers would consider trying the kick, you have to go back to Boswell’s college archive at Rice, where he actually pulled it off against Houston in 2013. When it works, it’s incredible. It didn’t work on this day.
