ESPN’s Brian Windhorst is reporting that former NBA MVP Derrick Rose in serious contract discussions to join LeBron James and the Cavaliers on a 1-year deal. Rose has declined due to injury, but still averaged 18 points and 4 assists per game with the Knicks last season.
Even a diminished Rose would be a substantial upgrade from what Deron Williams provided at the back-up point against the Warriors in The Finals.
