The Cavs need to trade for Paul George, even if it’s only for a year
Paul George made headlines yesterday when news broke that he has informed the Pacers of his intention to leave the franchise in free agency in 2017.
With the NBA Draft approaching on June 22, the Pacers’ best course of action is to make a deal sooner than later, especially if they’re interested in collecting draft picks in a potential trade.
Today, Colin looked at what deals might be out there for Indiana, and sees a Kevin Love for George deal with Cleveland as the best possible option for both teams.
Even though the real possibility exists that George could walk after next season and head to the Lakers in free agency, Colin would still make the deal. Time is ticking for LeBron and Cleveland. They need to go all in right now.
If I was Cleveland, I would go get Paul George even if it was only for a year.”
Kaepernick doesn’t seem like he’s really that into football
Colin Kaepernick created an online firestorm by tweeting out what many perceived as offensive statements about police. Some people think the tweets essentially put and end any chances he had of signing with an NFL team this season.
Aside from the nature of the statements, if Colin was an NFL GM, his biggest concern would be that Kaepernick has not displayed any outward signs that he values, or prioritizes football. At this point, he’s a marginal NFL talent, and just like anything in life, when you’re on the margins, you have to at least show a commitment and that you care about the job you’re trying to get.
Heading into training camp, it’s hard to see a team wanting to bring the attention that would come with the renewed controversy.
He has never shown me even a marginal interest in football.”
