Nick Wright is in for Colin:
StePh Curry is not the same player he was last year and the warriors are in trouble
A year ago, the Warriors looked invincible. They were the defending NBA champions, on their way to a record 73 regular season wins, and Steph Curry looked destined for Basketball’s Mount Rushmore. The guaranteed dynasty was interrupted when Golden State blew a 3-1 Finals lead to the Cavs.
Even though the Warriors signed Kevin Durant in the offseason, and the Dubs have coasted through the regular season, things look far from certain as the playoffs are set to begin. Durant is hurt, the Warriors lack depth, Steph Curry is struggling, and Nick thinks the Warriors are in trouble. Ever since his Finals undressing by LeBron, Curry isn’t the same guy. This year, James even has a higher three-point shooting percentage from three than Curry.
The Warriors aren’t a lock to win the title this year. They might not even be the #1 seed in the West.
“Steph Curry is not the same guy anymore.”
The texans need to go get romo
Tony Romo is about to either be traded or hit free agency, and a handful of teams, including the Broncos and Texans have a chance to make a run at him. Nick thinks the Texans need to go get Romo, even with Brock Osweiler still on the books with possibly the worst contract in NFL history.
Nick thinks the window is open now for the Texans, but it won’t be open long. They’ve made the playoffs the past two years with no quarterback. Romo, IF healthy, could make them a Super Bowl contender. It’s better to take a risk on a guy with an injury history than enter a season with a quarterback you know can’t play football.
“Is the fear of injury more powerful than the fear of being bad at football?”
