Matt Ryan is more Andy Dalton than Aaron Rodgers
After an MVP year and a Super Bowl run, many were saying that Matt Ryan had entered the small, elite echelon of quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers. Colin never bought in.
He thinks Ryan is a solid B level quarterback, but points out that his career year in 2016 was an outlier to the rest of his seasons since entering the league. When comparing stats, Ryan’s numbers pale in comparison to Rodgers, but are almost identical to mediocre standard bearer Andy Dalton.
Polarizing Lonzo Ball is great for the NBA
Lonzo Ball had a game-winning assist in Philadelphia in the latest chapter to his up and down NBA rookie year. While the debate rages in the media and among fans if Ball is a bust or will eventually work out, regardless of the answer Colin thinks he’s good for the NBA because he’s polarizing.
He calls Ball a “pick a side guy,” meaning people either love him or hate him, with few in the middle. Even if he’s not a star in the end people will still be invested in following his story to see how it works out.
Last night, Lonzo was furiously booed, but the fans still had to show up to do it.
