John McEnroe doesn’t deserve the heat he’s catching for his Serena Williams comments
John McEnroe is catching heat for saying that Serena Williams would be ranked 700th on the men’s tour. McEnroe gave an honest answer, only when pressed by the reporter to declare Serena the best tennis player in the world, despite gender. What he said was accurate, and he didn’t say it unprompted to get a social media “pop” for his new book he was promoting.
Even Serena Williams has admitted she would lose to men’s players, so it’s not an entirely controversial position. John McEnroe has said some inflammatory things in his long career, but this time he was just answering the question, jerk.
“That’s not misogynistic, that’s science.”
Klay Thompson and Paul George would be better for the Lakers than LeBron and Paul George
LeBron to the Lakers rumors are all the rage, but a recent story emerged saying Paul George wants to recruit Klay Thompson to join him with the Lakers once he’s eligible for free agency in 2019.
Colin thinks the Thompson would be a better fit for the Lakers to pair with George than LeBron. While Thompson could come to L.A. in the prime of his career and be allowed to grow with the young Lakers nucleus, LeBron would be 34 and in his 16th year by the time he got to the Lakers. Thompson has shown the ability to fit in, where LeBron has shown a history of being demanding and wanting influence in the organization.
I don’t think Magic and Rob Pelinka want to hand over the franchise to LeBron James in his 16th year.”

Eric Davis – FS1 Football Analyst and co-host of Speak for Yourself is in-studio to explain why he would build a football team from outside-in; why Aaron Rodgers is the best player in the NFL; and if Jared Goff can rebound from a bad rookie year.
Chris Broussard – FS1 NBA Insider and Speak for Yourself co-host is in-studio to discuss the impact of Gordon Hayward’s free agency decision on Boston’s plans; why he doesn’t think Randle and Clarkson for George is enough; and why Danny Ainge should have traded for Porzingis.
