John Calipari is feeling the heat to win a 2nd championship
John Calipari was back at it again yesterday, complaining about the NCAA Selection Committee following the announcement of the tourney field. It’s become a pattern for Coach Cal to criticize the NCAA ahead of the tournament, and Colin thinks he knows why.
He believes Coach Cal is feeling the pressure of only having won one title with stacked rosters full of NBA players, and is softening the landing for a disappointing tournament run by creating media distractions about the NCAA. Make no mistake, Calipari needs to win another title to cement his legacy an all-time coach. It matters.
“John Calipari is absolutely feeling the heat.”
The Warriors won’t be the one seed in the West
When the rest of the basketball world was declaring the Warriors were a guaranteed dynasty before they played a game, Colin was on the record saying the Warriors weren’t as sure a thing as everyone was making them out to be. He saw what everyone else didn’t.
In order to add Durant, the Warriors had to sacrifice their depth and bench that helped make the team a force of nature that marched to an NBA record 73 wins. Now, the magic is gone, and now that Durant is down, the Warriors hardly resemble the juggernaut that nearly won back-to-back titles.
“Golden State will not finish number one in the West, San Antonio will.”
