Drew Brees is still capable of carrying the Saints
The Saints got a huge playoff win against Carolina, and even though the vaunted New Orleans rushing attack was completely shut down, Drew Brees put the team on his back to get the win.
Even though Brees didn’t have anywhere close to the eye-popping stats he’s posted in year’s past due to the Saints newfound offensive balance, Colin thinks Brees showed he’s still a franchise quarterback because when everything else isn’t working, he can still put the team on his back.
LaVar Ball’s Luke Walton comments are news, even if Rick Carlisle doesn’t like it
LaVar Ball is never shy about spouting off when there’s media around, and this weekend he made news when he said Lakers head coach Luke Walton had lost the locker room and his players no longer wanted to play with him.
Mavericks head coached lashed out at ESPN and other media for covering Ball’s comments, but Colin doesn’t agree. He thinks that LaVar Ball is mostly a loud mouth, and much of what he says is ridiculous, but when the father of a noteworthy professional athlete comments on the state of his team, it’s going to be news. Based on other reports from journalists covering the slumping team, Ball isn’t that far off.
