Dak Prescott is not a Top-15 NFL quarterback
The MMQB ranked the top players in the NFL and ranked Dak Precott at #223 overall, and as the 17th best quarterback. Many are outraged that Prescott could be ranked so low after leading the Cowboys to a 13-3 record and the playoffs as a rookie. Colin thinks the ranking is right on the money.
Prescott exceeded everyone’s wildest expectations as a rookie, but Colin pointed out that he was drafted into the perfect situation in Dallas. If the rankings are just based on playing the quarterback position, Prescott isn’t in the top tier, yet. Colin believes Prescott will have another solid year and will likely move into the Top 12 by this time next year. He’s not there yet.
Kyrie Irving has ‘Number One Pick Syndrome’
Kyrie Irving wants out of Cleveland, and as each day passes it appears that his and LeBron James relationship is damaged beyond repair. Colin thinks Kyrie is crazy to leave what he has in Cleveland.
Irving has won one title in three straight Finals appearances, is nearly guaranteed to reach several more, and he takes more shots than the best player on his team. The only thing Kyrie doesn’t have is as much attention as LeBron James.
Colin thinks Kyrie is suffering from ‘Number One Pick Syndrome,’ which afflicts many first picks, like Irving. Because they were taken first overall, they feel like they should be the focal point of an organization, even if it means winning less. Symptoms include clouded judgement and bad decisions.
