Blame Russell Westbrook for OKC’s failed Big 3
The Thunder had high hopes for their hastily assembled Big 3 of Russell Westbrook, Camelo Anthony, and Paul George, but after 26 games, they’re 12-14, and nobody’s happy.
Colin thinks it’s clear the experiment is a failure, and believes Russell Westbrook is to blame. Even though there were high hopes that Westbrook could dial it back and fit in, it’s become more clear than ever that he’s better as solo act than trying to fit in with a group of stars. Ex-teammates Victor Oladipo and Kevin Durant were just named conference players of the week, which further proves that players get better once they leave OKC.
The Thunder need to pull the plug on this thing ASAP, and should look to trade Paul George before he leaves in free agency, and they get nothing in return.
LeBron to the Rockets is a realistic possibility
Colin initially thought the Lakers were the most likely destination if LeBron James decided to leave Cleveland again in free agency during the upcoming offseason, but it’s become clear that the Lakers are too far away to lure the King to L.A.
With #LeBronzo DOA, Colin now believes the best fit for LeBron if he jumps ship is the Houston Rockets, for a number of reasons. Not only is James close friends with Chris Paul, but if he joined Harden and Paul, they would immediately form a Big 3 that could seriously challenge the Warriors in the West and compete for a title. It would also allow James to transition into the final stage of his career with a team where he wouldn’t have to carry a franchise on his own. Fear #LeBeard.
