LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill, and Cody Riley have arrived back on American soil, after being freed by Chinese authorities for allegedly shoplifting during their overseas team trip.
According to reports, President Trump stepped in to secure the players’ release by personally requesting Chinese President Xi resolve the situation, and this morning he tweeted that he would like to be personally thanked by the players for springing them from Chinese custody. The sooner the better.
Do you think the three UCLA Basketball Players will say thank you President Trump? They were headed for 10 years in jail!

To be fair to the players, they just arrived back on American soil last night, and have been caught in the middle of an international media firestorm. Maybe they just haven’t had the chance to pick up the phone.
Secondly, it’s not like calling the President of the United States is like giving your friend a quick buzz for watching your house while you’re on vacation.
If the President keeps this up, he might get a ring from LaVar Ball. Nobody wants that.
