Tonight, the Warriors get their emotional leader, physical presence, and primary crotch hunter, Draymond Green back. The usually efficient Golden State Warriors’ were out of synch, and ineffective when he was suspended for Game 5. Green will return tonight under the microscope of the league and fans. The biggest question is; can he control himself?
Nick Wright filled in for Colin today, and thinks the best strategy for the Cavs tonight is to bait Green into another flagrant foul so he’ll miss Game 7.
“I don’t think he can control himself, I think it’s totally in play that he does something that will get him suspended for Game 7. Coming off the near suspension against OKC, he was awful.”
The Warriors will need the aggressive and agitating Green to win in Cleveland. If he’s less aggressive because he’s concerned with getting hit with another flagrant, the Warriors could be in trouble. The game after he avoided suspension from kicking Steven Adams, Green had his worst performance of the Playoffs.
In terms of pressure, Game 6 is going to feel a lot like a Game 7. Another Cavs’ win shifts the pressure squarely to the Warriors. Nick made a bold prediction if the Cavs are able to win tonight.
“If the Cavs win tonight they win the series.”
