While the U.S. Men’s soccer team was busy stinking up the joint in a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Costa Rica last night (Costa Rica?), Lionel Messi was busy proving why he’s the best footballer in the world in Argentina’s 3-0 victory over Colombia.
Messi got Argentina on the board in the 11th minute with a laser-precise free kick from 30 yards out, that he ripped into the top corner against Colombia’s helpless keeper.
As they say in Buenos Aires, “Hijo de puta, que golaso!” Messi is still the best currently doing it. A world class quality strike from the best in the world. El Mágico.
