After a summer spent subtweeting each other over social media, and an ugly divorce that ended up with Kyrie Irving traded to Boston, LeBron symbolically buried the hatched by selecting Irving in last night’s NBA All-Star Draft.
The move was a shock to many because of the prolonged summer drama, but LeBron told Ernie Johnson, “It was an easy choice,” because Irving was the best player available. He added that he looked forward to getting the old Cavs band back together for a weekend trip down memory lane. Sounds fun.
Maybe LeBron isn’t as salty about Irving jumping ship because he’s headed out of town, too. Who knows?
“It was an easy choice for me.”
