Rumors began circulating last night that the Knicks were considering moving on from team president Phil Jackson. Today, the team released a statement making it official.
The statement presents the decision as a mutual “parting of ways,” and includes a quote from Jackson thanking Knicks owner James Dolan for the opportunity. It goes on to say that team general manager Steve Mills will oversee day-to-day operations of the team until a replacement for Jackson is found.
Ding, dong, Knick fans. The Triangle is dead.
