Larry Bird invented the walk-off three point celebration in the 1988 Three Point Contest in Chicago. Steph Curry has popularized it for the younger generation. In some instances, Curry is halfway down the court doing chest pounds before the ball even goes down.
Last night against the Heat, Charlotte All-Star Kemba Walker showed the dangers of celebrating a three without actually witnessing the bucket.
Walker pulled up from the top of the key, and after a seemingly friendly bounce, had seen enough to turn his back to the basket and bust out the shimmy shake dance celebration.
By the time the shot rimmed out, Walker had already turned his back and started the dance off. Whoops.
Don’t try this at home, kids.
