Recent media reports from sources close to Josh Rosen have stated that the star UCLA QB would rather stay in school than be selected by the Browns with the 1st overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Today, the always outspoken Rosen essentially confirmed those reports with comments he made to ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss.
Although Rosen didn’t explicitly say he wouldn’t play for Cleveland, he did say he would rather be selected with a lower pick to “the right team” than go 1st overall to the “wrong team.” It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out the “wrong team” here is the Browns.
Cleveland is on the clock. Baker Mayfield is on line 2.
UCLA QB Josh Rosen on getting drafted by certain teams, if he comes out this year: “I’d rather be a lower pick at the right team than a higher at the wrong team.”
