Jon Jones is the UFC version of Muhammad Ali inside the octagon, unfortunately he’s more like Johnny Manziel outside of it. Jones was the youngest UFC Champion ever at 23, but has seen his meteoric rise to the top of UFC halted by a series of drug and discipline related issues. Just two days out from UFC 200, Jones has been taken off the fight card for failing a drug test. Multiple sources are reporting that Jones tested positive for PED’s. Jones was previously suspended from the UFC from April to October 2015 because of a hit and run incident where he fled the scene.
Last night, a visibly ticked off UFC Commissioner Dana White announced Jones failed drug test and the removal of his much anticipated mega rematch with Daniel Cormier from the UFC 200 fight card. Heavyweight WWE crossover star Brock Lesnar’s fight with Mark Hunt will now become 200’s main event.
Jones can appeal the positive drug test, but could face a two year suspension is upheld.
Dana White says Jon Jones might get a 2 year suspension from this so there’s no telling what’s next for him#UFC200
