The New England Patriots and owner Robert Kraft are headed to another Super Bowl after destroying the Steelers 36-17 in yesterday’s AFC Championship. The game was effectively over in the third quarter, and by the sound of Kraft’s postgame speech, he didn’t wait until the final whistle to start the party.
By the time Kraft took the podium to accept the Lamar Hunt Trophy, he appeared to be pretty lit. His speech was slow and slurred, and he led the crowd in an attempt to chant, “Let’s win one more,” which not many of the Patriot faithful picked up on.
Belichick watched the whole scene with a painful “cut the mic” smirk.
Last night was a night for celebrating in New England, congratulations to the Super Bowls, you’re going to the Patriots.
