The NFLPA has filed a lawsuit against the NFL on behalf of Ezekiel Elliott in the the U.S. District Court of East Texas. The lawsuit alleges Elliott has been deprived of “fundamental fairness” by the NFL’s discipline process in receiving a six-game suspension to start the season.
The suit alleges that NFL executives conspired to hide evidence from Roger Goodell that would have exonerated Elliott, and also ignored the NFL’s Director of Investigations Kia Roberts’ conclusion that his former girlfriend Tiffany Thompson was not a credible witness.
