The Warriors limped to the NBA regular season finish line after struggling since Steph Curry went down with a Grade 2 MCL sprain on March 23. With Curry still on the sidelines, Golden State will face the always playoff tough Spurs in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
Colin thinks the Warriors are more vulnerable than at any point since winning their first title, and that San Antonio can steal a couple games, but former Suns Coach Earl Watson joined the show today and shocked Colin by predicting a Spurs first round upset over the Steph-less defending champs.
According to Watson, it’s all about pace. Without Curry to push the tempo, and with KD as the primary ball handler, he predicts the series will become a slowed down halfcourt series, which favors Popovich and the Spurs. He thinks San Antonio will wrap it up in 6 or 7 games.
Watch Earl Watson explain why he’s so confident that the Dubs will have an early playoff exit.
