The results of the annual NBA GM survey were just released, and Colin had to do a double take when he saw who they named as the player they would most like to build a franchise around, and who was disregarded.
The survey named Minnesota center Karl-Anthony Towns as the player they would most like to build around, but 2-time NBA champ, and 2-time NBA MVP Steph Curry only received a few token votes. This makes Colin question what NBA they’ve been watching, because it isn’t the one he sees.
Aside from the fact that Towns is a center in a guard/wing league, and no centers have led their team to a title in a decade, Curry is 43-13 in the playoffs over the last three years, and his game is based on his shooting, which he should be able to do at a high level well into his 30’s.
Give Colin the best shooter ever, and the best ball handler in the league, over a center that’s never won a playoff game.
